GOLD MEDAL FOR THE ITALIAN JUNIOR ROLLERSKI TEAM

In the team race the Italian junior team dominates in the respective male and female competition, making us forget the fourth placing of the senior categories . France has won the senior men race while Ukraine has conquered the senior women title.

In the debut competition of the World Championships of rollerski Italy conquers two first places thanks to the junior men and women team race. The first ones have conquered the gold medal with Eugene Bianchi, Simone Butti, Oscar Romanin and Simone Paredi that have left the French team 9" far, while the Germans are at the third place, over 2 minutes far. In the female competition-which has not assigned any medal since the least number of 8 teams is not reached – the victory belongs to Italy with Giada Grivon, Ombretta Rosa, Susy Pascal and Martina Rigoni, placed before Germany and Latvia.
Disappointment for the male competition of Italian senior team that has reached the fourth place with the formation composed by Omar Peruzzo, Mirco Collavo, Stefano Cordoni and Pietro Filippin in the competition of 14,5 kilometers from Saint Vincent to Col de Joux, crushed from France driven by the 27years old Vincent Vittoz that has dragged the teammates Alexandre Rousselet, Benoit Chauvet and Damien Minder. The transalpine ones driven by the Italian coach Roberto Gal, have left Ukraine to the second place to 2'17" while the third place has been conquered by Sweden.
In the female competition Ukraine has conquered the gold medal, followed by France driven by the cross-country team Karine Philippot, 21" far while to the Italian girls are placed at the fourth place (Erika Bettineschi, Kezia D’Incal, Viviana Druidi and Barbara Sartor) after the team coming from the Czech Republic.
Tomorrow the demonstration continues with the second day of competitions that foresees the test in up hill in classic technique from Antey-Saint Andrč to Torgnon 5,1 km along and gradient of 500 meters that it will determine the order of departure and the separations in the pursuit raceof Saturday. Favorite of obligation our Alfio Di Gregorio and Alberto Pertile that they will have to challenge the French athlet Vincent Vittoz and the Slovaks Ivan Batory and Martin Bajcicak.
