Ceramic Ball bearings (made of silicon nitride Si3N4, zirconia oxide ZrO2 and alumina oxide Al2O3) are kept in our stock series. They are advantageous in having a longer service life, lower friction resistance, higher seizure resistance, higher corrosion resistance, higher rigidity, higher temperature resistance ( up to 800C) lightweight (40% of bearing steel), non magnetic, and insulated. They can be used even in an extra high - vacuum environment.
Ceramic ball bearings for use in jigs, tools, gauges, solenoid valves, check valves, other types of valves, high-grade bicycle parts, automotive parts, machine components, etc.
Zirconia (Zr02) Series: Inert to corrosive materials, with the exception of hydrofloric acid and hot concentrated sulfuric acid. Maximum useful temperature 1800°F.
Silicon Nitride (Si3N4): A new material suitable for applications where high loads, high speeds and extreme temperatures are factors. Long life and the need for minimum lubrication makes this material perfect for harsh conditions. Si3N4 is anti-magnetic. Maximum useful temperature is 2552°F (1400°C).
